As we move towards the winter flu season, we must consider how to include COVID 19 viral detection into the wider respiratory virus and/or gastrointestinal virus testing regimes. We are seeking testing kits that will deliver multiplexed or syndromic respiratory and/or gastrointestinal viral detection and that will operate on either existing rapid turnaround laboratory platforms, existing near patient care platforms or new technologies that can be deployed into NHS and PHE testing laboratories. These should be ready to deploy within 4-6 weeks.

Breath of Health

Our innovative technology Is based on well established research of groups of chemical markers, that are generated in certain stages and progression of air infectious diseases and can be corelated to specific causing effects in regard to other clinical conditions incorporated into our algorithms. These can be grouped and cross related of Ketones, Proteins and radicals, and possibly other marker groups such as lipids, fatty Acids etc, we expect to identify can be identified easily enough in...

GeneFirst multiplex respiratory panels for high-throughput and POC testing

GeneFirst, using its patented MPA (Multi Probe amplification) technology, has developed a respiratory pathogen panel (RPP) to help in the detection of various respiratory pathogens in an easy to use, one closed-tube assay. The panel detects 11 respiratory viruses (Adenovirus, Influenza (A and B), Parainfluenza (1-4), Rhinovirus, Respiratory Syncytial Virus, Bocavirus, Coronaviruses (-229E, -HKU1, -NL63 and -OC43) and 2 bacteria (Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae). We have...
