Bio Sensor

A: Not for current challenges
Closed

Biosensor is a small (USB size) and easy-to-use product designed to test different biomolecules in saliva. Biosensors are not pure saliva collection tools, but built-in nanoelectronic sensor chips to detect biological indicators, as long as the chip is licked to get the results. The nanochip is embedded in a paper card with a built-in NFC , which can immediately transmit the test results to a smartphone. Each Biosensor can perform multiple detections at once, detect up to biomarkers, and conduct a comprehensive analysis of the disease.

How quickly could this be deployed and what are the dependencies?

The chip prototype is already built and we hold a patent for the process of loading the screening at real time via scanning onto smart phone and onto our cloud data base. The sensor was designed for other virus and to detect for illnesses but its adaptable for Covid 19. Our other products using saliva testing have been for years equipped for previous virus, SARs and MERs. The bio sensor is designed for rapid testing and in dense environments and suitable for point of Entry, like airports.

What is the likely production volume?

millions

What are the risks and barriers to using this at scale?

Having the resources to deal with data and testing. The process is non evasive and suitable for all.

Who are you already partnering with on this?

My partners are the scientist and inventors in the Far East. we are in the process of setting up a subsidiary to deal with Europe.

Hi Peter,
This looks interesting, do you have CE marking for the device yet? if so my network in UK Germany and Scandinavia could be interested. Can we chat sometime today or tomorrow?

peter Chan Apr 20, 2020

Ken Thank you for your enquiry. We can speak tomorrow

Hi Peter, many thanks, my email is ken@researchandinvest.com

Ken, Our current saliva system is established and we have labs in the Far East and can ramp up to a million test a day. The Biosenser is in development but the chip is built. CE will be part of our requirement process to enter new markets. I will email and we can have a chat tomorrow. Peter Chan

Thank you Peter, Your solution doesn't quite fit with this current challenge but please do come back and let us know if you make further development for COVID-19 testing. Bev

We have come up with a option of producing home test for saliva testing for any RNA for circa £1.50 and can manufacture over 200,000 per day

Bev Matthews Apr 25, 2020

Thank you Peter, is this an update on this submission or a new solution please? If the latter, could i ask you to resubmit a new idea and if the former could i ask you to update your proposal above and include data and as much additional information as possible/available. Please do tag me in when complete and i'll resubmit back to the reviewers. Bev

Bev yes its a new solution. Our company core is dealing with illnesses and diseases and we are not Covid 19 centric. We are looking just to help and get the country back on its feet. The kit we can use we can manufacture 20,000 in one hour and the clinical data for RNA has been tried and tested for years. We have a data base platform in situ.

Thank you Pete, are you in a position yet to submit it? If so could you do so in a new post please? Thank you. Bev
